Mizumi Collection by Black Edition
[Paid Partnership With Black Edition]
I absolutely loved the Mizumi collection from
the moment I laid eyes on it. Striking yet serene, the designs are stunning and combine the ancient art of woodcut techniques with modern printing and weaving technology to create a collection comprising of wallcoverings, fabrics and cushions.
Mizumi Mural in Carbon and Romita Cushion in Pampas
Created in collaboration with Tokyo born artist Katsutoshi Yuasa, the prints reimagine his original works into large formats and repeats. I photographed my favourite design, the Mizumi mural in my home, and played with some of the
too. The textures of the fabrics including velvets, jacquards, satins and weaves are truly stunning, and come in either two or three colours depending on the design. You can see the full fabric collection
, but don't ask me to choose a favourite because I love them all!

The huge mural, a beautiful scene of trees reflected in the water below, measures an impressive 320cm high and 411cm wide and is made up of six drops in total, though it's possible to purchase just half the width of three drops for a smaller space too. Along with all the other
in the collection it's paste the wall, making it easier to hang than the traditional past the paper technique.
