A Black Friday Living Room Makeover With Furniture Village

[Paid Partnership with Furniture Village]

Black Friday sales sometimes get a bit of a bad rap, and whilst I agree that no one needs to go crazy spending randomly on things for the hell of it merely because they’re on sale, I do think that Black Friday sales are a fantastic time to scope out items that you actually would have bought anyway, saving some serious money in the process. Because that’s just smart, right?

These days it’s not just tech and white goods that can be snapped up at bargain prices, it’s everything including furniture and accessories, and now is the time to look if you’re thinking about replacing or purchasing anything in particular. Depending on stock availability you could even have it in time for Christmas to get your home looking lovely if you have family descending on you to consume their body weight in turkey, roast potatoes, cheese and copious amounts of pudding.

Just make sure they don’t spill anything on that new sofa!

The Furniture Village sale is already in full swing, and I’ve chosen my favourite pieces that work brilliantly on their own or together, to create a boutique hotel feel for a living room without the boutique hotel price-tag! There are some seriously gorgeous things up for grabs!

The lovely Bronwyn sofa is a classic style but the fabric options give it a contemporary feel, and it would work alongside almost any interior style. It comes in fourteen different fabrics, and I’m hard pushed to choose my favourite as Woodland Moss is such a spot on shade of green, whilst Cotton Candy is the perfect pink! Although the Peacock Tail colour, might just be my winner…

If you prefer a more modern look and like to put your feet up, then look no further than the Lolly Four Seater Reversible Chaise Sofa, which comes in a soft and bang-on-trend corduroy fabric in six different colours including this rather fabulous Sorrento Mustard which is available for delivery before Christmas.

A chaise sofa is such a versatile piece of furniture as not only are they great for lounging (or snoozing as the case may be), but they’re perfect for when you have visitors but not enough sofa seating. And unlike a corner sofa that demands so much space, it’s fine for the chaise section to come out into the room positioned just like you would a standard sofa, offering more seating or leg room, but not taking up two walls - let’s face it, most of us want our furniture to be hard-working, pretty AND practical, and the Lolly certainly ticks all three boxes!

To compliment your sofa there’s also a fantastic selection of coffee and side tables. My favourites are the Torrence coffee table (which also comes as a side table) and the Troy Side Table. Both are timeless classic pieces that won’t date, and look way more expensive than they are.

You know I love a lamp (or ten!), and Furniture Village also have a great lighting selection. Here are a just a few of my favourites which are all statement pieces in their own right. I just love the twisted wood effect base of the Argenta Floor Lamp, the hand-drawn agate look of the Zahlia Table Lamp, and the cool pinstripe detail on the Marble Table Lamp. So good!

There are so many other good buys to be snapped up in the Furniture Village Black Friday Sale including rugs, sideboards, mirrors and more, and that’s just for the living room! There are also loads of bargains for bedroom and dining room furniture and accessories too, but be quick because a lot of these deals finish on Sunday!
