Currently Coveting: Isobel Harvey Art
While I was very busy procrastinating on Monday, I stumbled upon multi disciplinary artist Isobel Harvey. Four words: LOVE. AT. FIRST. SIGHT.
I’m calling it Modern Folk. I couldn’t choose a favourite, but I love everything about her whimsical work - her subjects, her techniques, the texture, and the scale. All of it.
Instagram gets a bad rap (and rightfully so more and more these days - that’s for another day), but I really do love the way it has enabled me to find not just kindred spirits, but beautiful things to buy, or just admire through our screens. I’ve discovered so many brilliant artists I doubt I’d ever have come across otherwise.
There isn’t a single piece of her work that I don’t love, but this one in, entitled Double Vision, has particularly captured my heart. It’s just stunning. And at 1m x 1m would look absolutely incredible as a stand alone piece.
So there you have it - whilst some might say I need to work on my procrastinating tendencies, I would say that sometimes, possibly even quite often, good things come of it. You’re welcome.
