Ten Fabulous On-Trend Wall Mirrors For Under £100

I’ve been hunting for a new wall mirror for our bedroom on and off for a few months, but was feeling pretty underwhelmed about the selection available. Everything was either way out of my budget or a bit too on-trend, and will therefore feel dated really soon. Yes, it’s fun if you love a trend to get on board with it, but I like to buy on-trend pieces that also feel classic and less throwaway, so a nod to a trend rather than a shout generally speaking, so that’s what my selection is based on.

My criteria was something contemporary, yet classic - something I wouldn’t tire of within a few months. Oh and it had to be less than £100.

This was starting to feel like an impossible mission, until I decided to really dig deep and look at ALLLLLL the websites. I’ve literally sifted through dozens of websites and looked at hundreds of mirrors. Don’t say I’m not dedicated to the cause. It turns out, that if you dig deep enough, there are treasures to be found and they cost less than you may think!

I love a round mirror, but I already have two so I wasn’t considering another round one, but you might be in the market for one so I have included a couple - definitely a trend that’s not going anywhere soon.

So first up is this beauty from Zara, tapping into the more organic trend with the natural carved wooden frame and subtle scalloped detail. Not huge at 50cms, but still a good price point at £69.99, and very much falls into the on-trend without shouting category, which will outlast many more trend-led pieces. It’s a big yes from me….

Another round one, which I love because it’s different from the usual metallic frame is this one from the John Lewis* in-house, erm, House collection. There’s just something about that blue!

Another beauty from Zara, coming in at £50 is this gorgeous octagonal mirror with a thin gold frame. I’ve spotted quite a few octagonal mirrors in my travels, including an absolute stunner from Soho Home (rather a lot over the under one hundred pounds criteria for this post though sadly!) - the next big thing perhaps?

And as we’re talking about trends, you can’t get much more on-trend than with this fabulous Apartment arched number from Dunelm. Yes, Dunelm. WHO KNEW? Not me, that’s for sure. And while arches are VERY now, they are also classic and this is such a good buy for only £50. And it’s a great size too at 70 x 70cms.

Also from Dunelm (yes, I KNOW!) is the Kurva mirror (also comes in a full length version, and both come in either black or aged gold) which is quite reminiscent of the fabulous Gubi F.A.33 tooth shaped mirror, though designed to be hung the other way around. So classic, and so now, and no surprise that this was my winner, being a great price, size and shape for me, and is now hanging in my bedroom looking gorgeous. Two of these would be great over a double vanity in a bathroom too.

Another colourful entry is this little round yellow beauty* from Oliver Bonas, at only £39.50 (50cms). If they had the larger Octagonal shape available, I’d have jumped at it, but I kept going back to look at this one, so figured it deserved to be included too. LOVE the textured fabric wrapped frame.

Our love for rattan everything shows no sign of stopping so it would have been remiss of me not to include it, and this offering from La Redoute. definitely feels timeless and would work equally well in a traditional home as it would in a contemporary space.

This classic round offering from Maisions du Monde with a distressed metallic frame is a great size with a diameter of 71cms and a great price too. Because sometimes simple is best.

I’m finding my self more drawn to shapes that are actually quite traditional, and this one from Graham & Green really grabbed my attention. It would look lovely in a bedroom or a bathroom, even on narrow stair landing wall to throw a bit of extra light around.

Oliver Bonas are also offering up this pebble mirror*. which I adore the shape of - again tapping into the organic shape trend, but this time with a rose gold frame and it’s SO pretty!

That’s it, I think these are all absolute corkers for their prices. Let me know if you buy any of them!
