THE MANSARD GALLERY at HEAL’S
The iconic Mansard Gallery has reopened in the Heal’s Tottenham Court Road flagship store, kicking off with ‘Neon Drama and Pearl Drops’, by mixed media artist Chila Kumari Singh Burman.
The Mansard Gallery originally opened in 1917 and played an important role in shaping the cultural landscape, introducing the likes of Picasso, Modigliani and Matisse to the British public for the first time. It attracted visitors including Bloomsbury Set luminary Virginia Woolf.
Burman will exhibit until late March, with further exhibitions being announced shortly.
BERT & MAY RECLAIMED TILES
Bert & May offer an ever-changing collection of reclaimed tiles. Being reclaimed these will be limited, sold in varying sized batches, and once they’re gone they’re gone, so mind you don’t get your heart broken! Check out the current reclaimed collection - there are some absolute beauties! And if you’re after reclaimed antique tiles, do check out Maitland & Poate too, who also have a brilliant collection.
MORRIS & CO
Morris & Co have launched a paint collection of forty heritage colours drawing inspiration from the William Morris archive. Available in Chalky Matt emulsion and Interior Eggshell, it’s a very lovely tight palette, and I’m already eyeing off Ernest White, Powdered Chalk and Pearwood. Alongside other deeper neutrals, you’ll find a great selection of heritage greens, blues, yellows, pinks and reds.
THE CONRAN SHOP
The Conran Shop have a particularly tempting collection of ceramics currently, including designs by Laetitia Rouget. I also spy some brilliant cushions from Pangea, Laetitia’s brand with painter Colombine Jubert. What’s better than one cool, über talented French girl? Well, two of course!
