Beautiful Glasses For The Festive Season

As an interiors lover, I of course appreciate beautiful tableware, but if I had to choose one thing that can elevate a table setting more than anything else (aside from gorgeous flowers of course), for me, it’s glasses. After all, these are the things that we hold in front of our faces, touch, and notice the most.

I always use our nice glasses - I don’t believe in saving best for best, and remember, best doesn’t need to mean expensive, you just need to love them!

I thought I’d put an edit of my current favourites together, because if you’re going to buy one thing extra this year to make the festive season a bit more special, make it some lovely new glasses.

1. American Vintage Nick & Nora - Rinkit

Have you ever followed a cocktail recipe and realised all your glasses are too big when serving them, and the cocktail just looks a bit sad? Well, you need some Nick & Nora glasses! These are the perfect vintage style dinky cocktail size (they vary a bit but these are 140mls) and are just SO pretty! I have these super affordable ones and they’ll be making their way to the front of the glass cupboard imminently.

2. Ramona Coupe - Anthropologie*

I love a coupe for fizz. A LOT. I generally favour a clear glass over coloured as I like to see the colour of drinks, but I would definitely make an exception for these absolute beauties. They come in several other colour combinations too!

3. Casca Tumbler by Ferm Living - Heal’s

I’ve written before about my love for Murano-esque glass, and these Casca tumblers fit the bill brilliantly. Perfect for water or G&T’s with a lime wedge garnish.

4. Schrager Ribbed Highball - Amara*

Textured glass is always a winner to add some subtle texture to a tablescape. These highballs are gorgeous and versatile.

5. Nora Tumbler - The Conran Shop*

Much as I adore a textured glass I also love a super simple one. Use these tumblers as water glasses next to more decorative champagne glasses on the Christmas table, or for whiskey nightcaps, and they won’t break the bank or your heart if one gets broken.

6. Puck Cocktail Glass - Selfridges*

And finally, I’ve long been a lover of Tom Dixon’s Puck glassware collection - particularly the cocktail glasses. J’dore.

At the time of publishing several of these glasses are on sale, so if you’re in the market for some, be quick so you don’t miss out!
