The Thermostat [7th March 2022]
Anthony Burrill x War Child
I’m loving this open edition Peace print by Anthony Burrill available from The Private Press, with 100% of sales going to War Child UK to support their work with children affected by conflict, including in response to the Ukraine crisis.
Kalinko x Emma Jane Palin
Emma Jane Palin has designed a capsule collection of seventies inspired pieces with Kalinko, who work with closely with Burmese craftspeople, producing handmade and sustainable products. The collection includes a fab side table that would be perfect for a low bed, a fringed cushion, a lamp and a mug, and is available now.
Little Greene Exterior Paints
If you’re thinking about getting the paint brushes ready to get to work on the exterior of your home as the days start to get longer, warmer and brighter, do take a look at Little Greene’s exterior offering. It’s something we definitely need to do, as there are several jobs still not finished from our big garden project, and I’m not sure I like the colour I chose for the back of the house - doh!
I’m a long time Little Greene fan, as not only are the colours beautiful, but the paint quality is outstanding and so lovely to use too. Their exterior paints are long-lasting, hard-wearing and are formulated using the same technical expertise used to develop paint for bridges, boats, castles and even lighthouses. Their exterior collection includes Eggshell, Gloss, Masonry paint and Limewash, so they really are a one stop shop!
Affordable Art Fair
March is a busy month for art and design and the Affordable Art Fair returns to Battersea Park with Battersea Spring, where you can pick up a future heirloom for between £50 and £7500 from the 10th to the 13th.
UKRAINIAN DESIGN ON DEZEEN
And finally, something else that caught my eye this week, was this piece on Dezeen, showcasing six contemporary projects by Ukrainian architects and interior designers from the Dezeen archives.
