Currently Coveting: Murano Glass

Having spent an absurd amount of time looking at Murano chandeliers and wall lights over the past year whilst doing our bathroom, it’s very much on my radar. I WILL have Murano lighting in the house one day, but that’s another post. Anyway, I’ve found myself noticing both actual Murano, and Murano inspired glass everywhere. And not just in the form of lighting, but glasses and vases, and I’m not mad.

Yes, it has hit the high street, and is most definitely having a moment - I declare a micro-trend!

I know some might have an issue with the Murano inspired products, but the fact is that some people have the budget for the real deal, and some don’t, so I’ve included a mix of actual Murano, and Murano inspired pieces to suit different budgets in this edit, which by the way, started off being just one piece, the beautiful coffee coloured Hay vase, and then extended to six because I couldn’t help myself.

Figured it was a good time to share a few vases anyway, because you might need a new one soon for all those Mother’s Day flowers. Always good to be prepared, right? You’re welcome.

It’s all very beautiful, and I particularly love the mottled / tortoiseshell patterns in a singular or limited tonal colours which make it feel more contemporary.
